17 ISIS terrorists killed in fierce clashes in Ayn al-Arab

Aleppo, SANA – 17 members of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist organization were killed in fierce clashes with the popular units defending Ayn al-Arab city, northeast of Aleppo, according to local sources. 



The locals said a car bomb exploded yesterday at the city’s northern crossing, on the border with Turkey. 



Following the explosion, ISIS terrorists launched several attacks and clashed with the popular defense units.  The clashes have been ongoing since then. 



They noted that ISIS terrorists have recently escalated their onslaught in the surrounding of the crossing. 



Since September 16, Ayn al-Arab has been under continuous attacks by ISIS to seized control of the city, attempts that have so far failed due to the locals’ unabated resistance.









Conference on Palestinian communities in Europe wraps up activities

Damascus, SANA - Conference on the Palestinian communities in Europe wrapped up its deliberations on Sunday with an assertion to support Syria, as people and government, against terrorism. 



At a final statement, the conference affirmed an unlimited support to Syria and rejected any foreign intervention in its domestic affairs or any attempt to affect its territorial integrity. 



The statement called for stopping the Palestinian division and *reviving the Palestinian Liberation Organization* to be the legitimate and sole representative of the Palestinian people, depending on national democratic bases. 



It urged for speeding measures  to have full membership for Palestine at the UN organization and the International Criminal Court to bring the Israeli war criminals into justice. 



Following the final session of the Conference, an art celebration which included dancing show on the Syrian and Palestinian heritage was held and a videotape on the history of Palestine was screened in the presence of Culture Minister Issam Khalil.

Kabul police chief quits amid rising militant violence [Excerpts] 



Kabul's police chief has resigned, following a surge in attacks by Afghan militants on foreigners in the city over the past two weeks. 



General Zahir Zahir gave no reason for his resignation, his spokesman said.


For now, it's the capital's police chief who seems to have paid the price for this security failure, but there must be other senior [puppet] officials who bear responsibility.

Islamic State: Syria says air strikes not hurting group {Excerpts] 



Two months of US [World Tyrant]-led air strikes have failed to weaken Islamic State (IS) militants, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moualem has said. 


Mr Moualem told Lebanese TV the only way to tackle IS was to force Turkey to tighten border controls to stop foreign fighters crossing into Syria.
