Conference for Palestinian communities in Europe convened in Damascus

29/11/2014

Damascus, SANA-Activities of the 3rd General Conference of the General Union of Palestinian Communities in Europe kicked off Saturday at Dar al-Assad [the Opera] for Culture and Arts in Damascus.

Representatives of Palestinian resistance factions, Syrian national parties, political and popular unions and gatherings in Syria and Palestine are taking part in the two-day conference.

Assistant regional secretary of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party Hilal al-Hilal stressed in a speech the importance of convening the conference in Damascus given that it represents a “cultural center for the Levant and the heart of Arabism.”

“The Syrian people only knows victory, and will never lose the compass in defending national and pan-Arab causes,” he affirmed.

He indicated that the scheme at work in Syria seeks to set up the so-called “New Middle East” on the wreckage of a nation “that history has always known as a leading nation and civilization.”

Syria’s Grand Mufti Dr. Ahmad Badr-Eddin Hassoun, for his part, said the crisis in Syria is “a retribution for its stances in support of the Arab causes, particularly the Palestinian cause.”

“Syria’s main goal will remain the liberation of Palestine *and every inch of the occupied Arab lands*,” he pointed out.

Addressing the Palestinian communities in Europe, Hassoun said “You’ve come here to convene this conference in Syria which does not recognize the boundaries set up by the ominous Sykes-Picot agreement.”

Participants indicated in speeches delivered during the conference that they came to Syria to prove to the whole world “that we are one nation through thick and thin, and to say that we *disown* those who have used religion in service of an organization bereft of all values and ethics.”

HELMAND, Nov. 28 – A successful martyr attack is under way inside Shorab airbase in Helmand province, formally known as Camp Bastion/Leatherneck which has been handed over by the defeated British invaders to their lackeys and has a presence of a large number of American troops.

The attack was initiated by several martyrdom seekers of Islamic Emirate, armed with heavy and light weapons, who successfully infiltrated inside the base perimeter and engaged the unaware enemy troops in close range combat at around 08:00 pm Thursday night.

The martyrdom seekers who are in touch with Mujahideen say that they reached the enemy parking area where they have so far set fire to around 200 vehicles and APCs as well as shooting several aircraft and setting the enemy fuel depots alight, adding that they have also penetrated enemy barracks, torched several wooden structures and killed around 280 enemy personnel.

It is said that the operation is still ongoing after 24 hours as the entrenched Mujahideen engaged and repelled the enemy counter attack, forcing them to leave a number of dead troops behind.

What is going on inside 'Helmand' province ?

Saturday, 29 November 2014 10:49

Helmand is one of those provinces of Afghanistan where the Jihadi activities are going on quite successfully.

Just like the past, this province was the witness of a number of significant Jihadi incidents this year too.  On one side, Mujahidin carried out decisive attacks against the internal stooge soldiers and Arbaki militiamen inside this province and compelled them to abscond from most of this province; while on the other side, the British invaders who considered this area as their abiding colony, officially conceded their defeat and fled from this province of insurmountable people.

A few days ago, we met the deputy governor of this province ‘Mulla Mohammad Dawood Muzammil’.  He spent most of this year in the Jihadi front lines of ‘Helmand’ province and had observed the achievements of Mujahidin with his own eyes.  He told us about the significant Jihadi operations and achievements which took place during the span of current year inside Helmand province:

‘This year, particularly, the northern districts of this province like Grishk, Sangeen, Musa Qala, Nouzad and Kajaki districts were the witnesses of most-significant Jihadi achievements.

The greatest target was to capture the ‘Sarwan Kala’ area of ‘Sangeen’ district.  It is wide-spread area which covers nearly two third of this district.  When Mujahidin launched their operations against the enemy, I was myself present there.  In the first two days, we conquered more than twenty check-posts and more than sixty of their soldiers were killed.  Later on, this area was completely liberated. I would like to say that now the enemy’s presence is confined only to the center of ‘Sangeen’ district and to those check-posts which are situated on the main road.  The wide area of ‘Sarwan Kala’ is now completely under the control of Mujahidin who are present at the distance of only a few hundred meters from the main bazaar of ‘Sangeen’ district.  The enemy is totally besieged.  I personally visited the ‘Shakar Shaily’ area adjacent to the center of this district where Mujahidin were present in large number.  Here I saw the eleven destroyed armored vehicles of the enemy still lying on the main road which testified to the heavy losses of the defeated enemy.  The fighting inside ‘Sarwan’ was really a heavy one as reflected in the media which was won by Mujahidin. . . .

The significance of this fighting was confirmed when ‘Bismilla Khan’ the so called defense minister of the puppet regime, chief of army staff, ‘Shair Mohammad Karimi’, the governor of Helmand province and various other high ranking officials visited the area to evaluate the combat as well their losses.  Similarly, they repeatedly reinforced their troops from different army units, but all of them were badly defeated and eventually ‘Sarwan Kala’ area was completely liberated from the enemy and, at the moment, they have no presence at all.

As I mentioned earlier, their presence is visible only on the main road.  I would like to add that the main road stretched towards ‘Kajaki’ area is also blocked by Mujahidin in the limits of ‘Sarwan Kala, area.  The enemy can no more supply ‘Kajaki’ via this road.

Just like the conquest of ‘Sarwan Kala’, Mujahidin had significant achievements inside ‘Musa Kala’ district of Helmand province.  Vast areas of this district like Shaikh Ali, Deh Ghochak and Asmanian were captured and liberated from the enemy.  Inside ‘Musa Kala’, too, the enemy is confined only to the centre of this district. Inside ‘Nauzad’ district, the area of ‘Bagh’ which is the most important area of this district was conquered by Mujahidin this year.  The enemy was given a very tough time inside ‘Grishk’ district during the span of this year.  The enemy was pushed back from various portions of this district and Mujahidin made progress towards the center of this district.  We conquered 15 military posts inside ‘Nahr-i-Siraj’ area, 13 posts inside Haidar Abad area and 10 more posts inside ‘Deh Adam Khan’ area of this district.  Only ten percent populated area around the center of this district is left under the enemy’s control.  Inside ‘Grishk’ district, the enemy is besieged and confined to those areas which were fortified during the reign of [fake] communist president Dr. Najeeb for defending the centre of this district.  The enemy is just in the same situation today.  The only difference is that some military check-posts of the enemy are still visible on the main road in the suburbs of ‘Grishk’ district.

In addition, Mujahidin had significant achievements in other parts of Helmand province.  Inside ‘Marja’ district, Treekh Nawar, Sistani and some other areas which were captured by the American [World Tyrant] invaders during the huge operations inside ‘Marja’ district, were regained by Mujahidin.  Inside Khanasheen, Kajaki and some other districts deadly attacks were carried out against the enemy.  Over all, this year, Mujahidin’s achievements are quite significant and more than our expectations.’

[NB]

Mulla Dawood Muzammil mentioned some astonishing Jihadi operations inside Helmand province.  In this series, digging of underground tunnels, getting access to the security centers of the enemy and blasting them was one of the new and successful tactics used by Mujahidin.

Historically, for the first time this tactic was used in the 1st world war when the allied forces dug several underground tunnels in the front line against the German forces.  The allied forces simultaneously blasted nearly four hundred tons explosives in nineteen tunnels. Thousands of soldiers were killed and in this way heavy casualties were inflicted on German forces.

Now a hundred years later, Mujahidin of the Islamic Emirate inside Helmand province are using the same incredible tactics in which heavy losses are inflicted on the enemy.  Mulla Mohammad Dawood Muzammil added, ‘This year, two strong bases of the enemy which were heavily fortified were destroyed by Mujahidin by this startling tactic in the ‘Sarwan Kala’ fighting.  They dug tunnels from the distance of nearly one hundred and fifty meters to both of these centers.  It was really a tough and tiring task.  Then they filled these tunnels by approximately 1000 to 1200 kg of explosives.  When the operations against ‘Sarwan-Kala’ were launched, in the evening, these centers of the enemy, which were considered as their last refuge, were blasted.  Following heavy explosions, these centers of the enemy were completely demolished.  Only one tower of a center remained intact in which someone might have remained alive.  This fatal tactic stunned and paralyzed the enemy.’

After this, another huge police center near the Shaikh-Ali and Deh-Ghochak areas of ‘Musa-Kala’ district was also demolished by Mujahidin implementing the same tactic.  They had dug nearly [a] 200-meter long tunnel towards that center which took a long period of one and a half month.  Consequently, the center was completely demolished by a huge blast and in this way this area was totally liberated from the enemy and controlled by Mujahidin of the Islamic Emirate.

Another significant incident of current year inside Helmand province was the complete abscondence of British invading forces.  On October 26, the British forces officially lowered down their flag inside the ‘Shorab’ military base situated in this province.  They left this area while their heads were bowed with shame and humiliation.  The abscondence of the British forces is historically significant from another point of view i.e. this invading country has been defeated *three times before* in the history of Afghanistan.

And Lo! Once again they have renewed that bitter experience of the past and left the land of the freedom-loving people while loaded and bowed with deep humiliation and disgrace!!!

Iran’s foreign minister outlines disputes between Iran, Sextet

November 29, 15:59 UTC+3

TEHRAN, November 29. /TASS/.  Iran’s foreign minister outlined major outstanding disputes between Tehran and the P5+1 (five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany).  IRNA says the minister reported to the parliament members results of the latest round of talks in Geneva on the Iranian nuclear dossier.

“The major disputes at the negotiations were related to terms and conditions for lifting the sanctions as well as the timing for Iran’s access to financial markets,” an MP told the news agency.  “Zarif said. . .[there was] less tension concerning the nuclear facility in Arak.  But at the same time, [there] still remains the issue of the number of centrifuges for enrichment of uranium.”

A week earlier, on Tuesday, Iran’s foreign minister left Vienna after seven days of intensive talks with the six international mediators, where the parties were expected to reach an overwhelming agreement on the Iranian nuclear programme before November 24.  But participants in the meeting could not agree not only on the final, but even on the framework political document.  The parties only agreed on terms and conditions for extending the negotiations process.

They agreed within next four months the participants in the negotiations will focus on achieving a political or a general agreement, which, Zarif told the parliament, “may be done even within several days.”  In that case, they could work on details of the agreement, related to technical and legal aspects.

At the same time, the Iranian foreign minister said, the parties extracted [the] term of the interim agreement, under which Tehran will receive every month $700 million from partially unfrozen Iranian assets in foreign banks.

P5+1 is the five permanent members of the UN Security Council - the United States [The World Tyrant], Russia [the New Russian Empire], [capitalist] China, the [Poodle] United Kingdom and France - plus Germany.

Iran says it needs nuclear power to generate electricity, but Western powers led by the United States claim Iran’s eventual aim is to create nuclear weapons.

A plan of joint actions designed for a year that underlay the current negotiating process was agreed by Iran and the six international negotiators in Geneva on November 24, 2013.  It in particular envisioned that Iran will get rid of half of accumulated uranium enriched to 20% and will dilute the second half to the 5-percent mark.

Besides, Tehran was supposed to stop enrichment of uranium to more than 5%, and halt work on enrichment enterprises in Natanz, Fordow and at the heavy-water reactor site in Arak.

In turn, the P5+1 members pledged not to impose new restrictions on export of Iranian oil, new sanctions and lift restrictions on exports of oil products and precious metals, as well as unfreeze part of Tehran’s foreign assets.

Implementation of agreements designed for six months started January 20, and the sides decided to draft a final agreement over the period.  Over the six months, Iran complied with its commitments in full and had the sanctions regime against it eased.

But the sides failed to agree the document by July 20, and decided to shift the end date to November 24 - the provisional action plan's deadline.  Iran committed itself to convert all 20-percent enriched uranium left to [regular] nuclear fuel.

On its part, the six international negotiators agreed to continue their policy not to use previously agreed sanctions against Iran and grant Tehran access to $2.8 billion out of its assets arrested abroad.

The funds were to be provided in several tranches.
