Al-Jaafari: Time has come for the UN to punish the terrorist coalition that seeks to destroy Syria
22/10/2014
The UN, SANA – Syria’s Permanent Envoy to the UN Bashar al-Jaafari stressed that time has come for the UN to move and punish *the terrorist coalition of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and [Puppet] Israel* which seeks to
destroy Syria and
eliminate the Palestinian cause in order to achieve the so-called project of “Israel as a Jewish state”.
Addressing a Security Council session on “The Situation in the Middle East” on Tuesday, al-Jaafari demanded that action be taken against [Puppet] Israel over its continued occupation of the Arab territories in Palestine, the Syrian Golan and South Lebanon.
“For how long will we confine ourselves to holding meetings to release statements expressing concern, condemnation and rejection of the continued [Puppet] Israeli occupation,” said al-Jaafari,
slamming the “irresponsible” political, military, economic and media support provided to [Puppet] Israel by some influential member states in the Security Council.
This support, he stressed, has emboldened [Puppet] Israel to never pay any attention to the UN resolutions and go to extremes in oppressing the Palestinian people and continuing to occupying the Arab lands, including the Golan.
Al-Jaafari shed light on those who pretend to be keen on the Syrian people’s rights but they become totally speechless when it comes to condemning the continuation of the Israeli occupation of Golan since 1967, “as if regaining Golan is not part of the Syrians’ rights.”
Syria’s UN Representative referred to the latest developments in the occupied Syrian Golan that pushed the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) to temporally evacuate some of its sites following attacks by terrorist groups, including Jabhat al-Nusra, according to UN reports.
These developments did not come by chance, al-Jaafari stressed, making clear that they were rather the outcome of “what we have always warned of” in terms of the support provided by some regimes, including [Puppet] Israel, to the al-Qaeda-linked armed terrorist groups in the Disengagement Zone, which the UNDOF monitors.
He dismissed as “unacceptable” and “incomprehensible” the continued ignoring of all the warnings and information which Syria have repeatedly presented to the UN about
[Puppet] Israel’s support to the armed terrorist groups,
its direct targeting of Syrian military sites in the framework of backing these groups and
Syria’s demand of an official investigation into the involvement of the Qatari intelligence in abducting Filipino UNDOF peacekeepers.
Al-Jaafari said that the Syrian government stresses its firm stances in support of
the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and establishing their independent state *with al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital*, with ensuring
the right of the Palestinians to return home.

Information Minister: Ayn al-Arab is part of Syria’s territory
22/10/2014
Damascus, SANA Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi reiterated that combating terrorism in the region and in Syria in particular cannot be carried out without coordination with the Syrian state and leadership.
“Syria is going ahead with countering terrorism till the end,” regardless of
it not being part of the recently formed US[World Tyrant]-led international coalition to fight terrorism or
not being coordinated with in this regard,
al-Zoubi stressed in an interview with the Syrian TV satellite channel broadcast on Tuesday.
In his comments on the situation in Ayn al-Arab city, on Syria’s northern border with Turkey, which the terrorist organization of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has been trying to seize control of for weeks, the Minister affirmed that the city is part of the Syrian territory and its people are “our people.”
The Syrian state has not hesitated to practice its military, political, social, economic and humanitarian role towards all parts of the Syrian land “from the smallest village to the largest city,” al-Zoubi stressed.
He made it clear that the Syrian state through its armed forces and aircraft has offered military and logistic support and weapons to Ayn al-Arab city, and “it will continue to do so with maximum capability.”
While affirming Syria’s support to Ayn al-Arab, the Information Minister asserted that “not an inch of the Syrian territories will be cut off in favor of no one, neither terrorist gangs or groups, nor states or entities.”
In response to the Turkish President’s statements about establishing buffer zones in Syria and about Ayn al-Arab being a strategic area for him, al-Zoubi reiterated that the city in question is “part of the Syrian land and a Syrian city and not part of the Turkish land, and this should be clear to everybody.”
With regard to claims that terrorist factions are not linked and the international coalition’s refraining to fight terrorist organizations other than ISIS, al-Zoubi said *all the organizations, including ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra, are linked* and they operate with coordination among them, stressing that “the pretext that these factions are separated is unconvincing, inconceivable and not realistic.
People of Ayn al-Arab target ISIS concentrations in the eastern part of the city
21/10/2014
Aleppo, SANA – The people of Ayn al-Arab northeast of Aleppo continued to confront the attacks of ISIS terrorists, with the locals targeting terrorist concentrations in the east part of the city.
Local sources said that the townspeople used RPG launchers and heavy machineguns against ISIS concentrations.
Media reports uncovered new evidence on the Saudi support for terrorists in Syria including ISIS, with reports indicating that a Saudi officer named Hisham Abdullah al-Shaalan was killed in Ayn al-Arab while he was fighting alongside ISIS, with information stating that al-Shaalan was a major serving in the Saudi interior ministry prior to joining ISIS.
Earlier on Monday, ISIS terrorists detonated two trucks rigged with explosives near al-Sina’a neighborhood east of the city, causing severe material damage.
