The “D-Word”

As the war in Afghanistan is entering its final phase with the gradual withdrawal of foreign troops, we are left to ask; why isn't the USA [The World Tyrant] conceding defeat ? 

True, there is no armistice, no influx of Taliban soldiers overrunning American [World Tyrant] bases, no last helicopter unable to cope with fleeing masses [of World Tyrant puppets, as in Viet Nam]. 

But defeat does not always come in such a dramatic form, [though] earlier defeats similar to the current one where called as such.  Why not in this case? 

The Soviet Bear [the FAKE Soviet Union (1956 - 1991)] was clearly defeated by the then “mujahedeen-freedom fighters”.  Not able to cope with the financial and human cost of its 9 year occupation the army retreated over the 'Friendship Bridge' linking the Afghan border town of Hayratan with Termez, in the then [FAKE] Soviet Union.  The last tanks rolling over the bridge carried the body of the last [fake] soviet soldier killed in the conflict.  This unfortunate minesweeper  would never see his [fake] homeland again, even though all hostilities where supposed to be over. 

It’s safe to assume that the Americans [The World Tyrant] will loose many dozens of lives until the “last” soldier is allowed to die.  And his death will resemble the death of the soviet minesweeper.  A futile loss in a war already lost. And that is not the only similarity between the two conflicts. 

The number of dead Soviet soldiers is much higher than the conceded death toll of the [World Tyrant’s] Coalition forces.  That is not strange knowing the hands-on tactics of the [FAKE] soviet troops and the mainly base-bound troops of  America & co [The World Tyrant / NATO].  Besides different tactics[,]  was the firepower and manpower of the Mujahedeen troops fighting the soviet many times higher than that of the Taliban.  And that is where things get interesting. 

Approximately 250,000 Mujahedeen confronted 115,000 [FAKE] Soviet troops and 50,000 Afghan [fake] communist troops.  These Mujahedeen were being supported by most of the Western world [The World Tyrant / NATO] with both weapons and money.  They received state of the art equipment including the American [World Tyrant] Anti Aircraft missile the “Stinger”. 

That the stinger won the war is a famous myth, the war was already winding down, with the decision of complete troop withdrawal a few months before the first Stinger was fired,  but the importance of the foreign aid can not be underestimated. 

On the other hand you have the Taliban which stand approximately 25,000 strong, having *no* name-worthy support of any nation, but still soldiering on for 12 long years against all odds. 

For 12 years they faced B52 bombers, Appache helicopters, the Mother of All Bombs,

the latest armored vehicles, state of the art rifles with the latest optic devices.  All that with a numerical inferiority of at least 1:12, brandishing not more than AK-47 and some grenades.  You can say of them what you want, but that is not short of a miracle! 

Far greater than the human cost for the Americans [The World Tyrant] weighs the financial cost of the war in Afghanistan (combined with the Iraq war it eventually will cost the American [World Tyrant] taxpayer some 6 trillion dollars. 

While the world is going through a financial crisis that is reflected in major budget cutting, costly wars like the one in Afghanistan can't be sustained.  All coalition [World Tyrant / NATO] members have announced major changes to their defense structures, down-sizing and decreasing their armies (in the case of the US [The World Tyrant]) to even *pre-world war two* strength!  Whole divisions are being cut, major weapon systems rendered obsolete, airplanes retired and thousands of soldiers sent home. 

No, the US [The World Tyrant] will not fall apart as the [FAKE] Soviet empire did after the Afghan war.  And the current financial crises is not caused just by the Afghan war by itself, but it is *a major contributor indeed*. 

The power balance in the world is shifting and *the Afghan struggle to get NATO out of their country is a major factor*.  The time. . .[when] the US [The World Tyrant] jumped from one conflict into the other exerting their influence, leaving the rest of the world in awe for its might and power, seems to be over.  Now it uses proxies and rent-a-soldier armies to fight its wars. 

The [FAKE] Soviets eventually left Afghanistan after being defeated by a thousand cuts, and often their debacle in Afghanistan is referred to as the Bear trap.  The American Eagle [The World Tyrant] has been wounded in the same trap.  And while the US [The World Tyrant] is moving its troops and salvageable equipment out of the country, using amongst other routes, the route over the “Friendship Bridge”,   it tries to figure  out what to do with its Afghan legacy [its puppets]. 

But acknowledging defeat or not, both the [FAKE] Soviets and the US [The World Tyrant] entered  Afghanistan only to leave another gravestone behind in this graveyard of empires.
