AP reported yesterday: 

Due to the great uncertainty about what Russia may do next, NATO's secretary general [Fogh Rasmussen] on Tuesday said the U.S.[Wor[d Tyrant]-led alliance and the European Union must cooperate more in the military realm. 

The situation in Ukraine, and what the EU should do about it, dominated the Monday meeting of the trade bloc's foreign ministers held in Luxembourg. [1]

Putin stated April 11th: 

Russia is being very careful in its action and is taking a very balanced and respectful line towards all of our partners.  *We most certainly guarantee that we will fulfil in full our obligations to our European gas customers*.  It is not Russia that is the issue.  The problem is one of *ensuring gas transit via Ukraine*. [2]
